AMAZON has patented its new project - a tower-parking for drones!

It's not a secret that AMAZON has been thinking a lot about introducing the delivery of parcels with the help of drones. Due to the fact that drones need to be stored, repaired and recharged, the company decided to implement an effective solution and tools suitable for all these purposes. So, from numerous options offered at the moment, the best is considered to be a tower-parking.

The center for unmanned aerial vehicles - the name that was given to the facility - was patented at last. By the way, this center is quite large and consists of several levels. In megapolises, with their high building density, such a tower seems to be a real salvation. It will help to accommodate a large number of drones, without consuming a lot of space.

The tower resembles a water tower, only larger in size, which has parking lots for drones themselves, as well as entrances for trucks loaded with parcels. There is a separate entrance for technical specialists, which means that AMAZON is still not ready to give up manual labor in the nearest future.

How did it start?

AMAZON carried out the delivery of the package with the help of a drone at the end of 2016. At that time a British citizen received his order only 13 minutes after he placed it on Amazon, mostly thanks to the fact that he lived near one of the numerous company’s warehouses.
